Exuria Burton Goodin, age 97 years, a resident of Summit Manor Health and Rehab formerly of 9937 Liberty Road Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 5:25 a.m. at Summit Manor Health and Rehab in Columbia, KY
She was the daughter of the late Wesley and Lucretia McQueary Burton and the widow of Lawrence Goodin, who preceded her in death May 20, 1996.
She is survived by three daughters: Lucille Lemmon of Columbia, KY, Mary Lou Davis and her husband Clifford of Cincinnati, Ohio and Wanda McGaha of Columbus, IN; four sons: Leemon Goodin of Barnett's Creek Road, Columbia, KY, Lowell Woody Goodin and his wife, Judith, of Columbia, KY, Charles Goodin and Danny Wayne Goodin and his wife, Denise, of Columbus, IN; three sisters: Fay Cowan and Beulah Sinclair of Franklin, IN, and Barbara Pendleton of Edinburgh, IN; two brothers: Buford Burton and Clayton Burton of Edinburgh, IN; two sisters-in-law: Agnes Burton of Columbia, KY and Libby Burton of Edinburgh, IN; 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends survive.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Carl Lemmon; 3 brothers: Van, Lester and Clay Burton; two sisters Millie Burton and Mildred Burton.
She was a member of New Hope Separate Baptist Church, a former grocery merchant in the Pellyton and Ella Community and a homemaker.
Funeral services were Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Separate Baptist Church with Bro. David Coffey officiating.
Interment in the Bearwallow Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to the New Hope Separate Baptist Church Building Fund or the Bearwallow Cemetery and may be made at the funeral home.
The pallbearers were: Lowell Woody Goodin, Danny Wayne Goodin, Leemon Goodin, Jareth Wolfe, Mark Goodin, and Clifford Davis.
