Thera Hardwick, age 91 years, of 8205 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 3:10 p.m. at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Sidney and Mary Lee Burton and the widow of Ervin G. Hardwick, who preceded her in death on December 14, 1987.
She is survived by three daughters, Bernadine Robertson and her husband Phillip of Greensburg, KY, Peggy Burton of Columbia, KY and Charlotte Collins and her husband Charles of Russell Springs, KY; one brother, Elbert Burton of Columbia, KY; one sister, Sue Fisette of Edinburgh, IN; eight grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren one great-great grandchild special caregiver, Stella Callahan; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters: Carl Burton, Wayman Burton, Nolan Burton, Lillie McGaha, Rosa Burton, Velma Pyles, Ethel McQueary, Reeda Goodin and Mabel Wilson.
She was a member of Purdy Separate Baptist Church, a former Green Thumb worker and a homemaker.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 1:00 P. M. at Purdy Separate Baptist Church with Bro. Junior Holmes, Bro. Jamie Bryant and Bro. David Coffey officiating.
Interment in Bearwallow Cemetery.
Expression of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Bearwallow cemetery Fund or Purdy Separate Baptist Church Building Fund and may be made at the funeral home
