Frances Dunbar Hurst

Frances Dunbar Hurst, 94, of Twin Lakes Retirement Community, Burlington NC, died peacefully on August 6, 2008 after a period of declining health.
She was born in Adair County, KY, the oldest daughter of William Pinkney Dunbar and Frances Willard Huffaker Dunbar.  
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Hurst, and six brothers and sisters.  
Surviving are sons, Kenneth M. Hurst of Chapel Hill, NC; Thomas D. Hurst and wife Nancy D. Hurst of Kernersville, NC; sisters Marie Baise of Jacksonville, IL, Louise Nobles of Columbia, KY; sister-in-law Virginia Dunbar of Hendersonville, TN; and many beloved nieces and nephews and their families.  
Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m., Friday August 8, at Jones Funeral Home with Reverend J. C. Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.  
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Front Street Christian Church, 609 Atwater Street, Burlington, NC 27215 or the American Cancer Society.
