After the Cards closed the gap to 18-15 early in the 3rd quarter, the Tribe was able to spurt out to a 27-17 lead on a 9-2 run led by seven points from Darren Ballou in the stretch. However, Nelson Co. scored the final four points of the period to pull to within six points at the quarter's end.
The fourth stanza belonged to the Tribe as they held their visitors scoreless for nearly the first 7:00 of the quarter building their lead to 39-21, before Nelson's only field goal of the period.
