Derby Winners Announced

Danny Burton of Columbia placed second in the small car division at the Spring Brawl Demolition Derby held May 10 at the Mercer County Fairgrounds Motorsports Track, Harrodsburg.
Michael Grimsby of Russell Springs won the division, with Charles McFerrin of Harrodsburg taking third. James Barnes of Monticello won the large car division, with Coty Key of Burkesville, second, and Barry Passmore of Russell Springs, third.
The next motorsport event at the Mercer County Fairgrounds track will be a Clementsville Motorsports Truck Pull at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 24.
Classes will include 4,500 lb. 2 wheel open, 6,000 lb. small block stock, 6,400 lb. big block pure stock, 6,000 lb. hot street stock, 8,500 lb. diesel, and bone stock county and surrounding. The next demolition derby will be July 25 during the Mercer County Fair & Horse Show.
