Flora “Cissy Mae” Watson

Flora “Cissy Mae” Watson age 79 years formerly of Chance Community passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Dwight, Illinois. She was born March 24, 1927 in Chance, KY and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Virginia Lee “Virgie”Patterson Morrison of Adair County. She married Cameron Watson on July 3, 1953 in Rossville, GA. Cameron passed away on November 30, 1992. They were married 39 years. She is survived by two daughters: Debra (Randy) Provence of Dwight, Illinois and Cindy (Philip) Sharp of Athens, Alabama; three grandchildren, Brittany Provence of Des Moines, Iowa, Cameron and Matt Sharp of Athens, AL; also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother: Ebb Morrison. Cissy Mae grew up on a farm, was a homemaker, and worked with Cameron on the family farm in the Chance community for 33 years before moving to Dwight, Illinois in 1998. She was a member of the Emory’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was an animal lover who especially loved her dogs. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Watson officiating. Interment in the Columbia Cemetery. Pallbearers: Mike Morrison, James Morrison, Darrel Morrison, Ray Grigsby, Mike Watson, Larry Turner. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
