Oliver Gene Lawless

Oliver Gene Lawless, 75, of Somerset, KY, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at his residence in the presence of his family.
He was the son of the late Rev. O.D. and Stella Mae Chadwell Lawless. He worked as an educator with the Pulaski Co. School System for 27 years, was a graduate of Columbia High School and Eastern Kentucky University. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean Conflict.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Jo Lawless and three sisters, Marie Cook, Christine Rick Jacobs, and Aline Huddleston.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joan Cole Lawless of Somerset; one grandson, Calder Lawless; two sisters, Inez Fagala of McAllen, TX and Sandra Frost of Columbia. Several other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 12, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. (EST) at Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset with Bro. Sam Crawford officiating.
Burial in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
