Marie "Granny" Franklin

Marie "Granny" Franklin, 81, of Columbia, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 3:58 A.M. at Westlake Regional Hospital.
A native of Taylor Co., she was the daughter of the late George Henry and Daisey Harmon Lee and was a retired cook, working at Valley View Restaurant in Cane Valley and Lindsey Wilson College.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Franklin on Aug. 12, 1966 and by her two daughters, Annie Mae Horton and Clarice Gean Webster
She is survived by eight grandchildren and spouses: Larry and Diane Wilson of Greensburg, Sandra Hilger of Columbia, Terry and Vanda Wilson of Campbellsville, Billy and Susan Horton of Owensboro, Patti and Jimmy Branham of Columbia, Robert and Melissa Horton of Columbia, Betty and Gary Beard of Campbellsville, Susan and Bruce Hooten of Columbia; 14 great-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Sat., May 17, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. David Coffey officiating.
Burial in New Hope Cemetery.
Visitation after 4 P.M. Friday.
