William Maurice Taylor

William Maurice Taylor, 85, of Beaver Dam died Thursday May 1, 2008 at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born in Ohio County to the late Meryl and Virginia Sandefur Taylor, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was a farmer and a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Rachel Johnson Taylor and a daughter, Diane Taylor Spinks.
He is survived by include a daughter, Dana Taylor Harvey of Columbia, KY; a son, William Dwight Taylor of Beaver Dam; a brother, Paul Taylor of Cromwell; three sisters, Carolyn Stewart of Griffith, IN, Jane Phelps of Beaver Dam and Joy Johnson of Louisville, KY; four grand-daughters; four great grand-children; and one step great granddaughter.
Services were held at 2:00 pm Sunday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Dr. Glenn Armstrong officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Gideons International or Beaver Dam Baptist Church Relay for Life Team. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
