Bernice Dunbar

Bernice Dunbar, age 86 years, of 311 Harvey St., Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 10:45 p.m. at Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY after an illness.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mona England Janes.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet Roach and her husband Dwight of Columbia, KY;  and one granddaughter, Amanda Carol Roach. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Carol Newton in October 1989 and Judy Russo in January 2002.
Bernice was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a retired toll attendant with the Kentucky Department of Transportation.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. William R. Davenport officiating.
Interment in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to Trinity United Methodist Church Building Fund and may be made at the funeral home.
The pallbearers were: Jason Hurt, Norman Hurt, Fred Brown, Tom Hurst, Ken Hurst and Bill Nobles.
The honorary pallbearers were: Allene Hardwick, Lois Wilson and Jean Sanders.
