One Hurt in Greensburg Street Crash

A two vehicle accident on Greensburg Street Saturday night sent an Adair County teenager to Westlake Regional Hospital.

According to the police report, the accident occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. Saturday on Greensburg Street at the junction of Dillon Street.

Stephanie Nitschke, 23, of Campbellsville, operating a 1997 Jeep Cherokee, was pulling from Dillon Street onto Greensburg Street when she pulled into the path of a 1995 Chevy Tracker being operated by Jonathan Grant, 18, of Columbia, who was traveling northwest on Greensburg Street.

Neither Nitschke or Grant were injured in the accident, but a passenger in Grant’s vehicle, Jenee Devine, 17, of Columbia, was transported to Westlake Regional Hospital by the Adair County EMS for treatment. A passenger in the Nitschke vehicle, Steven Cushman, 25, of Campbellsville, was not injured.

The accident was investigated by Columbia Police Officer Jr. Murphy, with assistance from Officer Brad Scholl.
