The Adair County Fiscal Court will be receiving $27,626 in grant money through Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and the Energy and Environment Cabinet's Division of Waste Management.
The grant money is a 25% "in-kind" matching grant, in which the county will not have to put out any additional money.
According to PRIDE Co-Coordinator Lisa Lee, expenses already incurred by the county can do the county match.
"We can use the inmate hours, the employees at the recycling center and other expenses that we already have as our 25% match so the county will not have to put out any more funds," said Lee.
According to Adair County Judge Ann Melton the county will use the money to purchase an additional recycling trailer similar to the one located at Wal-Mart, a bailer for the recycling center and educational materials.
