A Parkers Lake, KY man lost his life while riding his motorcycle after colliding with a pickup truck Friday afternoon.
According to the report from the Columbia Kentucky State Police Post. William Hutchinson, 52, of Parkers Lake, was traveling west on KY 80 in the Windsor community of Casey County at approximately 3:53 p.m. on a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle, when a 2002 Chevy pickup operated by 24-year-old Jimmy R. Sandusky of Windsor attempted to make a left turn into a private drive.
The report also states that Hutchinson attempted to avoid the collision but was unable to do so and struck the vehicle.
Hutchinson was not wearing a helmet and was transported to Russell County Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Both Sandusky and his passenger, 23-year old Jessica Dilsaver were wearing their seatbelts and were not injured in the accident.
The accident was investigated by KSP Sergeant Jamie Heller and was assisted by Trooper Wendell Higginbotham, the Casey County EMS, the Casey County Fire/Rescue and the Casey County Sheriff's Department.
