Adair Woman Arrested For Theft Charges In Taylor Co.

An Adair County woman was arrested Monday in Campbellsville and charged with taking almost $100,000 from Wal-Mart.
Thirty-two-year-old Mary A. Garmon, of 159 Garmon Road, Columbia, was arrested at 11:50 a.m. (EDT) Monday at Wal-Mart in Campbellsville on a charge of theft by unlawful taking over $300.
According to the police report, Garmon, who had worked at Wal-Mart since August 2002, was taken into custody as a result of an investigation into Fraudulent Returns activity.
Garmon allegedly stole approximately $98,000 from Wal-Mart over a period of time from August 2004 to May 15, 2009.
Garmon was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center.
The arrest was made by Campbellsville Police Depart-ment Det. Sgt. Patricia Thompson. Wal-Mart Loss Prevention was also involved in the investigation.
