Robert Loy Wins NCAA Contest

Robert Loy correctly picked the two national semi-final games then tabbed Kansas to win the championship to come from behind and take home the $300 first-place prize in the Adair Progress’ NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Bracket Contest.
Loy was the only contestant among those still in contention to pick Kansas to beat North Carolina and Memphis to beat UCLA, then pick Kansas to win the title. He earned 16 points in the final three games, to give him a total of 93 for the contest.
Julia Bailey, who had led the contest since the start, had Memphis playing in the final game, but picked North Carolina to win it all, wound up in second place with a total of 91 points. Donnie Phipps finished third with 88.
